What is SMP?

Find out more about Scalp Micropigmentation, which is commonly shortened to SMP, how it works, the process and how it can help you regain your confidence.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation?

Scalp Micropigmentation, or SMP for short, is a non-surgical procedure that strategically places micro dot tattoos on the scalp within the upper dermal layer. This process over the course of 2 or 3 sessions, creates the illusion of hair follicles or minute hair growth. This procedure is ideal for those experiencing some level of hair loss from thinning all the way up to complete baldness.

Our specialist Scalp Micropigmentation artist will gradually build hair density in a specific area or all over the scalp using a pre-drawn hairline to create outstanding results.

What is SMP?

SMP for Men

Men often experience hair loss due to genetic factors, which can begin in their late teens. Using advanced tattooing, a technique called pointillism can mimic the appearance of short hair using natural pigments.

What is SMP?

SMP for Women

Hair maintenance practices such as chemical processing and heat can lead to thinning, but hair loss in women is frequently hormonal, affected by pregnancy, menopause, stress, and certain medications. Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) offers a safe and effective solution.

I was apprehensive at first as I struggled to understand how it could look natural! but I took a gamble after being convinced by photos of his work and it paid off big time. It’s taken years of my look, I have always shaved my head but for the first time in years I feel super confident about my hairline. This treatment is worth every penny. My only regret was not doing it sooner!
